The Clog

This started as a blog about living abroad for 7 months, but the reality of getting a job has me talking about other topics while in between countries. (Above photo taken on return trip from Mexico, 2008. Looks like castles in the sky.)

the fraud

So I am having to deal with identity theft. Just how I wanted to spend my day. I've been on the phone with various companies for hours, disputing charges made by the Portuguese "friend" I lived with in Brazil. Let's just call him "fake".

There are about ten bank transactions I never authorized, and they all lead to him, based on the email address associated with each purchase. He even tried to buy a $3600 computer, which fortunately, drew attention to my bank, who then locked my account so that no activity could occur. I ended up having a friend pay to fly be back to the States earlier than planned because I couldn't get any money out of my frozen account. He screwed up everything. I even had to live with a friend for 6 months when I returned because I was busy paying off debt from "fake".

How does he live with himself? How does he face himself knowing he is a phony, a thief, a person without ethics or moral virtue? Life is hard and everyone has his challenges. But to pretend to be a friend just to turn on them should justify some Karmic consequence. I hope he feels right at home hiding out and running from the deportation police in Brazil, the place that taught me to trust no one. Not even my "friends".

  1. You here there seeing everyone back stabbing everyone, the main reason i don't live there and i describe that place as a Utopia, because it was paradise the only problem was the people, they will show you a smile but as soon you didn't have anything to give to them they would stab you without thinking. You lived there, you lived with me, did i ever asked you for anything at all!? You were a friend in need so i open my house and life, where were everyone!? the so entitle friends?!? humm let me guess the ones that f@cked me as well!!! guess what you weren't the only person that got done in that place! as you know im house was broken in and everything was gone!

  3. you can try to turn friends against friends, as you have done with your past wives. you can neglect your children and use women for their money, but you can't escape from who you are. it's so transparent and now, everyone will know.

  4. Of course you let me live with you. That's how even serial rapists work to make you trust them. Don't be silly. My bank has a history that links to your email account and user information to the transactions, and you have already been reported. I just want everyone to see your words. Why don't you share your profile with us?

  8. i have 6 lawyers who work in the financial district in san francisco who think it's a waste of time to pursue this. they laugh at the possibility of you winning any case because i have evidence and witnesses. they're like hound dogs. just try to press charges. i dare you! you will waste your money and time. why don't you ask ivo about his wife and kids. i have so many people waiting in line to protest against him.
