getting inspired

i bought canvas! let the painting begin.

we went to garopaba beach for the first time. it~s more of a fisherman~s beach. people talk about moving there because of its city-like amenities, but i don~t know if i will ever be able to choose garopaba over rosa. i like having the beach to myself and although it~s a hard walk, i don~t tire of the value of that walk.

i have noticed my body becoming stronger, tone and tan and i love it! i am in my element. i can finally start to paint instead of just working with oil pastels and pencil. i do like to sketch but there is too much color here not to paint. the bugs are beautiful.

in my room, i found a butterfly with a black and white design on the wings toward the body that looked like a knot in wood, only black and white. then on the tip of each wing was a bright red triangle. the inside of the wings were black with a light silvery blue triangle. absolutely gorgeous!
