i AM an artist!

i was going back through old photos in my computer and came across my art folder. as i clicked through each image, i saw them for the first time, as if they were not made by me, and i legitemately loved each piece. i had forgotten that i painted those pieces i had sold, given away or stored.

it brought tears to me to think that all along, i have been making these colorful, luscious paintings and i never gave myself credit for any of them, constantly dismissing their value and my own worth as an artist.

for the first time since i was in 6th grade and knew i would be an artist, i remembered i AM an artist.

i am who i wanted to be when i grew up, and i am in love with myself and the world around.
