Praia do Rosa, first impressions
The house is magnificent. Like I described in the past, it is a tree house, all wood and brick and stone. It^s a two story, the upstairs room and balcony accessible by steep wodden steps. The downstairs holds the living room, and the kitchen is a few steps down from the living room. It has a feel of what Hemmingway must have lived in. You could easily write, paint, drink, smoke, eat, and create for years, producing some of the best work of your life here. There is natural beauty everywhere. Flowering trees, bugs, plants that look like animals, smells of jungly green, fertile soil and BBq-uing meat. Every so often, while on my balcony that looks onto the red roofs of the village and its mountains, I hear a cow or a dog. It~s quiet besides the sound of small bugs, ang it~s still except for the flutter of moths outside my door at night.
